In coordination with the University of Tampa, the UN Student Alliance at the University of South Florida, and the University of Tampa Honors Program, UNA-Tampa Bay hosted a human rights talk with David Hawk, entitled “When the United Nations Works to Promote and Protect Human Rights.
Mr. Hawk previously served as the executive director of Amnesty International USA and as a human rights official with the Cambodia Office of the UN high commissioner for human rights. He has written numerous reports on human rights issues covering the Rwandan Genocide and recent violations in North Korea.
