The Model Arab League (MAL) is a program coordinated through the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations across the nation. MAL is structured similarly to the Model United Nations (MUN) and allows students to learn about Arab politics, history, and public speaking.
The Florida Regional Model Arab League will be entering its third year in 2017. UNA-Tampa Bay has hosted both Florida Regional MAL conferences and has seen record-breaking attendance and growth since its inception. Read about our 2016 MAL event.
Despite MAL being one of our newer initiatives, we’ve received strong representation from local high schools, including Steinbrenner and Middleton, and major colleges and universities such as the University of South Florida, the University of Florida, the University of Central Florida, Stetson University, and St. Leo University.
